Buttons 1775-1780

These buttons were found in North America, relics of the War of American Independence. They are from the uniforms of other ranks except for the gilt button which is an officer's. The design of the castle varies from button to button as does the name of the regiment, ENNISKILLEN/INNISKILLING. But the 27 at the base of the button remains throughout.
