1st Captain's Colour 1685


The Queen's Regiment, as it was known in 1685 had Company Colours as follows:

Colonel's - Plain white with Queen's cypher in gold with crown above. The cypher is MEBR (Marie Eleanore Beatrice Regina).
Lt-Colonel's - White with red cross of St George, and in each quarter, five black eagles with gold beaks and legs.
Major's - Same as Lt-Col's but with red pile wavy.
1st Captain's (shown here) - Same as Lt-Col's but with the Queen's Cypher and crown in the middle.
