Officer's Helmet Badge 1901

This was the universal pattern badge worn by infantry officers on the blue cloth covered helmet in dress uniform. The centre of the badge has the regimental distinction of the Fortress of Gibraltar and key with mottoes on a black velvet ground. The King's Crown above replaced the Queen Victoria crown in 1901.
