Lt-Col The Rev P W Beresford DSO


Percy William Beresford was the commanding officer of 2/3rd Londons which fought on 14th-15th May 1917 at the second battle of Bullecourt for which action Percy Beresford was awarded the DSO. He also founded and commanded the Westerham and Chipstead Cadet Corps. He was the Assistant Priest of St Mary's Westerham in Kent from 1905 to 1917. He died of wounds on 26th Oct 1917 and was buried at Gwalia Cemetery near Ypres.
