Tank Park at Cambrai

The tank was not new to the fighting on the Western Front in the autumn of 1917, but at Cambrai the weapon was used with wonderful effect in the initial advance because the crews were better trained and tactics were better thought out by this time. The Germans did not, at his time, have any of their own tanks and must have been fearful of the looming leviathans coming towards them in such large numbers.
