| The regimental pipe banner is attached to the longest of the three drones on the pipe-major's bagpipes. The badges on his right sleeve include the Gordons badge that was introduced at the beginning of the 20th century. Also a special badge for pipe-majors which was adopted at some time in the 1960s. A crown has been added to his rank badges to emphasise his warrant officer status. |
