| This photo was taken at Spitz Kop on 11th Sept 1900, 3 days after the Gordons had fought there. The men wear varying styles of wide brimmed hat which are seen frequently in photos of the Gordon Highlanders at this period. The kilts are protected at the front with khaki aprons. |
