Drummers' Positions c1910


This page from the sales catalogue of Henry Potter & Co is similar to the page of the open book that can be seen on the table in the Drummers' Room 1899. Although the page is too small to make out detail in that 1899 photo, it has drummers in the same positions as this, but the middle figures would be wearing the pill-box cap instead of the peaked forage cap. These middle figures are in undress, wearing the white drill jacket instead of the scarlet, laced drummer's tunic.
