Drum-Major F McCoy


Sergeant-Drummer F McCoy of the 3rd Battalion, State Drummer to the Queen, enlisted on 20 Sep 1883, serving 12 years, including the 1885 Sudan campaign where he rode in the Guards Camel Regiment. He was promoted to his present rank in Nov 1892. His father was in the 84th York and Lancaster Regiment during the Indian Mutiny.
