2nd Battalion Regimental Colour 1912


The 27th Company Badge of the Order of the Bath, below the King's Crown, forms the centre of this 2nd Battalion Colour. There are now 23 battle honours. Since the award of 'Suakin 1885' in 1886 there were seven more added: KHARTOUM, MODDER RIVER and SOUTH AFRICA 1899-1902 plus the retrospective granting of TANGIER 1680, NAMUR 1695, GIBRALTAR 1704-5 and NIVE all in 1910. The honours, on yellow silk were repeated on the other side, as well as both sides of the King's Colour.
