1st Battalion Queen's Colour 1967

The large crown of Queen Elizabeth II in the centre of the crimson flag signifies this as the 1st Battalion's Queen's Colour. Since 1945 there are 44 battle honours or distinctions on both sides of the Colour, ten emblazoned honours from World War 2 being added to the 34 pre-war honours. In 1992 two more distinctions were added; GULF 91 and WADI AL BATIN.
