The Royal Irish Regiment

Shooting Team, India c1913

The khaki uniform worn by these men of the Royal Irish shooting team is worn, unusually, with the coloured forage cap (dark blue and scarlet). 'They have brown leather cavalry bandoliers for their ammunition as well as pouches on their leather waist-belts. 'This may be because they are in the shooting team. 'The men on either side of the impressive silver cup are a warrant officer and a junior officer who has a shirt and tie with open collar. They have black mourning arm-bands, although the sergeant with the large moustache does not. ''The photo was taken at Nasirabad.'
