Private Derby and Ram Major 1996

Each successive ram that is 'enlisted' as regimental mascot is numbered. This one, pictured in 1996 is number 26. The Ram Major who parades him is a drummer with a lance corporal rank chevron on his sleeve. The full dress tunic is more decorated than that worn a decade earlier, being a revival of the late 19th century band tunic.
