Each successive ram that is 'enlisted' as regimental mascot is numbered. This one, pictured in 1996 is number 26. The Ram Major who parades him is a drummer with a lance corporal rank chevron on his sleeve. The full dress tunic is more decorated than that worn a decade earlier, being a revival of the late 19th century band tunic. |
