Corps of Drums 1964



The Corps of Drums of the 1st Battalion pose with the 1908 silver drums in this photo taken in Hong Kong in 1964. They are in white hot-climate uniform and have green cords hung across their chests. The two officers wearing Sam Browne belts are the bandmaster and the commanding officer of the battalion. The CO has more medals and has gold wire embroidery on the peak of his cap. They all wear the POW feathers cap badge which was adopted c1960.
