Royal Victoria Hospital


The Royal Victoria Hospital was one of the first custom built military hospitals built as a result of the problems of the Crimean War. It was built close to the water at Southampton so that any returning troops from anywhere in the Empire could be quickly accomodated in this specialist hospital.
