Lt-Col T Higginson

The commanding officer of the 1st Punjab Infantry. He wears the distinctive rifle uniform peculiar to British officers of the regiment, based on the King's Royal Rifle Corps ie. dark green with red collar and cuffs and black braid. The helmet is black with a pagri of similar colouring to the turban worn by Simkin's Jemadar. His pouchbelt bears a scroll beneath the badge. There is no such scroll on the belt worn by the Jemadar. In the illustration of a British Officer 1931 1/13th Frontier Force Rifles, the pouchbelt appears to have a scroll.
