Brig-Gen Sir W H Meiklejohn



This officer joined the Army in 1861 and served in six regiments at various times. He achieved fame as commander of the Malakand Garrison at a time when it came under attack from tribesmen. He wears the uniform of a field officer of the 20th Punjabis; drab tunic with green facings. His brown leather pouchbelt has silver fittings. (see Pouchbelt badge 1902).
