Madras Infantry 1814

This schematic diagram of 1814 shows the uniforms with their various coloured facings, as well as other units on the establishment (except cavalry). The European Regiment had been reduced to one battalion in 1799 and their facings were described as French Grey in 1810. The remaining sepoy regiments are numbered 2 to 25. The omission of the 1st Regiment, whose facings were white, must be a mistake.
