The Yeomanry

The Yorkshire Hussars were one of the smarter Yeomanry regiments and the splendour of the of the officers' uniforms reflected their prestige. Yorkshire was one of the counties that had two Yeomanry regiments, the other being the Yorkshire Dragoons. The Hussars dated back to 1794 when they were the 2nd or Northern Regiment of West Riding. It was never disbanded.
