Battledress 1940

The uniform worn by the Princess Patricias during WW2 followed the British pattern of battledress. This private wears the uniform with a green side cap. He is being presented with a prize at a sporting event in England in 1940. Princess Patricia hands out the prizes while an officer of the regiment makes the announcements through a microphone. He wears khaki service dress with collar badges, and has the officer’s style of green side cap which has a cord boss on the front to which is fixed a small light infantry bugle badge.
