Sergeant-Major P Colgan

Regimental Sergeant-Major P Colgan was photographed here in 1866. He wears the dress tunic with gold lace around the top of the collar, just visible under his mutton-chop whiskers. There is also gold Russia braid around the edges of his shoulder straps. His peaked forage cap also has gold braid. He has medals for the Crimean War with four clasps which shows that he was present at all the actions fought by the 19th Regiment.
