This late 1950s photograph in many ways exemplifies the British influence on Caribbean institutions and those of Law and Order in particular. It shows Chief Justice Sir Guy W. Henderson, Q.C. reviewing members of the Bahaman Police Force. The uniforms are all quintessentially British and yet the imperial backdrop and racial makeup of the personnel illustrates their adaption in the Caribbean setting.
