Blackbirds Arrive in Fiji


This picture shows the survivors of the Carl where nervous blackbirders had killed some unruly and reluctant blackbirds and thrown many overboard. The remaining, shown here, were brought ashore in Fiji and sold at an average of 10 pounds a head.
