Sir James O'Grady

In 1931 O'Grady was appointed as governor and commander-in-chief of the Falkland Islands. This posting was curtailed after about two years when he fell ill with blood poisoning and returned to England for treatment. His health continued to be poor and he died in a London nursing home at 2 Nightingale Lane, Clapham Common, on 10 December 1934.
