This picture shows the Black Watch being reviewed whilst on garrison duty in Dublin. British soldiers were a familiar, if not always welcome sight in Ireland. Having said that, many Irishmen found themselves in service of the Empire as Ireland proved to be a very reliable supplier of military personnel. |
