British Passport for the Mandate of Palestine

This is a copy of a 1946 issue passport for the Palestine Mandate. Colonial passports were not the same as Full British passports and there were additional requirements and restrictions on imperial passports. In fact, special permission was required to visit Palestine even with another British Empire passport. Note the use of English, Arabic and Hebrew in the document. This was largely due to attempts to manage immigration from Arab and Jewish communities. Courtesy of Neil Kaplan.
