Indian Fishermen


John White was the talented artist who accompanied Ralph Lane on Walter Raleigh's first expedition to set up the Roanoke Colony. He would actually return as Governor for the next officially sanctioned colony. He depicted remarkable images of everyday life of this unknown world to Elizabethan society.
