'Aden' Survivors

On the 8th June 1897, the "Aden" struck rocks off the coast of Socotra. Those who left in lifeboats were never heard of again. Those who stayed on board suffered terrible privations before being rescued nearly 3 weeks later on the 26th June by the Indian Government steamer "Mayo".
