Zebra Carriage


This curious picture nicely illustrates how the Europeans set about attempting to use the resources and environment to their economic advantage. In this case, the Zebra as a beast of burden was doomed to failure due to their lack of stamina and difficulty to train. There was a serious attempt to use Zebras as horses were susceptible to Rinderpest as they moved further North from Southern Africa.
