      This is a very clearly laid out and accessible website about the Victorians and the society that they lived in. It has lots of interesting sections that delve into the various aspect of Victorian life in Britain.
  • Visit the Past
      There are some gorgeous pictures of Britain in the Edwardian and Victorian periods. In addition to the photos there are other gems including uniforms, labels and old cigarette packets. Quite evocative of a by-gone era.
  • Victorian Era
      A beautifully constructed site with gorgeous images and pictures of Britain during the Nineteenth Century.
  • Engish Monarchs
      A comprehensive collection of information about virtually all of the monarchs of Britain from Saxon times to the present day.
  • History World
      An eclectic collection of photographs, advertisements and fashion from Britain from the Victorian era to the 1950s. It has lovely large and crisp images. Although centred around Britain, many of the products and services would have been familiar to a larger imperial audience.
  • Dungarvan Museum Society
      A beautifully designed site that examines the history of a town in Ireland. It offers good snapshots of life in what was a corner of the British Empire for a long time. In particular, it gives excellent information about the British Army units that were stationed there over the years.
