I really like to add uncertainty and irregular goings on to my games. The 'Fog of War' is all to often the first casualty of the wargames table. Usually, players immediately get a bird's eye view of all before them. So, one antedote to this is to infuse the game with random occurrences. I find that cards work really well for this. Not too many, as to dominate the game, but just enough for the game to be gently swayed or shifted. I really like seeing the rationale of games change. As British forces find that they are facing far larger forces than anticipated, or that key elements freeze in place at a crucial juncture. The commander has to constantly reevaluate the situation and decide when to cut his losses or sweep down for a decisive victory. The cards that I have made reflect the forces and games that I play. Feel free to use as many or as few as you like. I have also included a blank card so that you can make your own event cards. I use lots of multiple cards to form about a 40 card pack that is evenly distributed between helping the British and the Native player. Of course, there is no way of knowing who will be helped or hindered most by the order of drawing those cards. I tend to have one card drawn at the beginning of every turn from the second turn onwards.

Originally, these cards were made on Claris Works 5.0. If you have Claris Works and would like for me to email you the original cards then please email me. They will probably be better for printing out.
