Jane Seymour

Bornc1509
Married1536
Died1537

Jane had actually been a lady in waiting for Henry's second wife, Anne Boleyn. It is not known when Henry fell for her, but the speed in which he married her after the execution of Anne Boleyn was startling. Within 24 hours of her execution, Jane and Henry were husband and wife.

Jane granted Henry his long time desire for a son. Edward was born in 1537. Unfortunately, Jane paid for this act with her own life. Within two weeks of giving birth, she passed away. Henry was genuinely moved by her death.
