Officer's Helmet c1833

The back of the black glazed helmet with gilt ornamentation shows the rear peak and the gilt chin-scale lion's head boss. This view also shows the embroidery on the dress coat collar. The epaulettes have been removed from this coat. This style of helmet was used in the previous decade and was replaced in 1834 with an all-gilt version.
