Jubilee Troop, 1897

From a photo of Canadian troops sent to London for Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee parade. The full dress shown here consists of scarlet tunic with blue collar and cuffs decorated with yellow piping and Austrian sleeve knot. There are brass buttons and RCD shoulder strap titles. The white cloth-covered helmet has a brass spike and badge. All the belts are brown leather and they carry swords and carbines. The breeches are blue with yellow stripe. They wear short white gloves instead of the brown leather gauntlets seen in other photos.
