Captain 1911

Captain Francis is mounted up in British officer's dress uniform. His white helmet has a white pagri which was worn after 1903. The tunic is green with red facings and gold cording. The regiment continued to wear green breeches but with red double stripes instead of gold lace. Like Major Burrows, his mameluke sword is attached to the saddle instead of the slings from his waistbelt. The horse furniture is quite plain apart from the red horsehair throat plume.
