Major in Full Dress 1911

Major Patrick William Burrowes wears the green kurta with red facings and gold lace but the decoration on his sleeve is less ornate than the kurta worn by Risaldar-Major Kesur Singh. He has white gloves but not gauntlets as one would expect. The turban is very neatly applied with regular folds on the red part, and the end of the cloth is standing up. This is the start of the modern day fashion in the Indian Army for the large pleated fan shape. He has a mameluke sword but no sabretache. The sword is attached to the saddle but he still has gold sword slings. The boots are straight topped not hessian style as before. The throat plume on the bridle is scarlet.
