Drumhorse 1904

When the 14th returned from South Africa in 1904 they were stationed at Aldershot and presented with a cream coloured drum horse by King Edward VII. The coloured postcard shows the drummer with his three good-conduct stripes on his left forearm. The blue dress shabraque covers the hind quarters, decorated with the hawk, the Garter with royal cypher inside, and a guelphic crown.
