Bugler R Lamb


The photo of three generations of the Lamb family was published in 'The Regiment' 5 May 1900. The older man on the left is former Sergeant-Major Lamb in charge of a hospital at Portland. The standing figure is his son, Colour-Sergeant Instructor James Lamb attached to the Bridgewater Detachment of 2nd Somerset Volunteers. The right hand seated figure is the grandson of the sergeant-major, and son of Col-Sgt James Lamb. He is Bugler R Lamb of the Somerset Light Infantry.
