Officer's Shoulder Straps c1830-1855

When wearing the frock coat officers had these regimental shoulder straps in place of epaulettes. The dragon is embroidered inside the gilt crescents. The officers of light companies had a stringed bugle only and grenadier officers had a flaming grenade badge. The shoulder belt plate in the middle can be seen in more detail in Officer's Belt Plate c1844-1855.
