| HRH Field Marshal the Duke of Cambridge inspected the force on the Floriana Parade in Malta on 17th June 1878. They were all Indian troops apart from the 2 batteries of Royal Artillery. The Duke was very impressed by their appearance, drill and the state of their camp. |
