The Yeomanry

Officer's Dress Pouch c1856-1914

The scarlet cloth covered pouch flap was edged with silver lace and decorated with an embroidered rose, mostly silver but with a gold centre and green leaves between the petals. The crown was mostly gold with crimson velvet cushions. This view of the pouch shows the flap half open with a glimpse of the red leather side of the pouch and the red leather pouch cover on which it rests. The red cloth has deteriorated in this example.
