Notes | HMS Hood was assigned to the Mediterranean due to her poor sea handling capablities. These came about as the result of the increased weight due to her turrets. The extra weight of these turrets had meant that she had had to be shortened at the fore and aft. It was this that led to her relative unwieldliness. |
