Arthur Wauchope

In 1931, he was assigned as the High Commissioner of Palestine and TransJordan. In this post, he was seen as a very keen proponent of public works and civil engineeering schemes but was criticised severly for not being strict enough on the Arabs in the early stages of their rebellion.
