Corporal in Stable Dress

The stable jacket is scarlet with yellow collar and cuffs. The corporal stripes are gold and padded to raise them. Above the stripes is an embroidered NCO's arm badge about which whole books are written, one of the best being Cavalry Warrant Officers' and Non-Commissioned Officers' Arm Badges by David Linaker and Gordon Dine published by the Military Historical Society 1997 and Arm Badges of the British Cavalry Regiments written and published by Peter Seaman 1994.
