Officer, 1805

A painting by P W Reynolds taken from Robert Dighton's contemporary caricature of Capt Teasdale who served in the 4th DG at this time. The jacket now has very short tails with white turnbacks. The silver lace loops are in pairs. The collar is now blue velvet all the way round with silver lace loops. The chevrons on the sleeves are in pairs, the lower chevron being on the blue cuff. The cocked hat is worn for and aft with a taller plume than before.
