107th Pioneers

Sepoy, 1910

This rear view of the 107th when they were pioneers gives a good idea of the way the axe was carried. This man is a Kaimkhani, a Muslim Rajput. The tall khaki turban is topped with the stand-up red end, for which the 107th (7th) became recognised.
