The post 1801 Union Flag is the basis for the Colour. The Captain's device of 'Silver Falcon within Golden Fetterlock' A fetterlock was a handcuff or prisoner's shackle. The company numeral is in the canton. Even though battle honours were permitted to be displayed on regimental colours after 1784, there are no honours on this Colour.
