Field Marshal Sir Francis Wogan Festing GCB KBE DSO


During World War 2, Frank Festing led the Indian Division which included his own 29th Brigade in the final stages of the Arakan offensive in the Burma Campaign. When a platoon commander was put out of action he personally took command of the platoon in the assault on Mawlu.
