Officer's Shako Badge c1845



Badge worn on the Albert shako by British officers of the 35th Bengal Native Light Infantry. They had been converted to light infantry in 1843 and the bugle-horn badge emblem can be seen just below the Queen Victoria crown. Below the wreath is a scroll inscribed LAKE 1803 VICTORY.
