Sergeant 1742

Sergeants were distinguished by a crimson sash with a blue stripe, and a cord aiguillette on the right shoulder. He is armed with a pike instead of a musket and bayonet, so does not have a shoulder belt for an ammunition bag. His sword is carried on a waist-belt. The white gaiters were worn on parade and would have been exchanged for black gaiters on campaign.
